Established in 2024 through the approval of Carson County voters, Emergency Services District No. 1 (ESD1) was created to provide a stable funding source for EMS (Emergency Medical Services) strengthening emergency response services across the county. The formation of ESD1 reflects the community’s commitment to safety, preparedness, and responsible stewardship of resources. The district’s mission is to ensure that local emergency service providers have the equipment, training, and financial support needed to respond effectively when emergencies arise.
